Patrick Sasso
Composer/Producer

Canadian born artist and NYC resident, Patrick Sasso enjoys a colorful career as a composer, producer, photographer and filmmaker. His knowledge of music and technology combines his skills as a sound engineer, producer, music supervisor and technical advisor for film TV and web.

Sasso was fortunate to have studied a wide range of classical and popular standards for piano as a child and continued thusly under private tutelage until he discovered blues & jazz improvisation. The often enharmonic dissonance of which has henceforth influenced his compositional style. At a very young age Sasso began experimenting with synthesizers, midi composition and four-track recording in his home studio and it wasn't long after that he received his first scoring commission in college for a feature film. That film was the seed for his new-found love of film scoring.

His work has alternated between producing, film scoring and arranging for theatre. He has written, scored and produced short films and industrial promos for companies such as Citigroup and Philip Morris and has created public service announcements for various non-profit organizations, including Hurricane Katrina relief funds.

Sasso continues to produce music, short films, promos, artist demos, jingles and voiceovers. Most recently, he has produced the debut album "Days Outstanding" for Pongo Face—a group he created in order to experiment with new sounds and compositional techniques.
